# Markets Direct Australia

> Markets Direct is a directory that showcases Australian local markets and the stallholders and makers who sell at them.

Markets Direct helps people find markets in their local council area, meet the stallholders and makers behind them, and plan a visit in person. Locals are pointed to shop in person at their nearest market. Buyers who live too far away to visit can buy from vendors online. Our motto is "Sell local, showcase national": we expand the reach of stallholders and small businesses to a national audience while still encouraging shoppers to visit their local markets.

Markets Direct is a project of SmartBizTech Pty Ltd, built in Australia. Coverage starts with Gosford and other markets across the Central Coast of New South Wales. Many directory pages are still being filled in as markets, dates and makers are confirmed.
